This is why she's my favorite!

I got a text from Molly saying, 'Kim Kardashian comes on the tv and Alyssa goes, "Auntie Meg!"'

Haha, love Little Miss!

QT with Little Miss♥

Because my mom was Molly's only babysitter for my amazingly fantastic niece, Alyssa, and she's been MIA for the past 2 weeks...that leaves Little Miss babysitter-less. Hello Auntie Meg! (I'm no longer Auntie "Heg" -- Alyssa's growing up!) Anyway, I have been having the best time with my two babiessssss:) Alyssa is a great helper with Scarlett (mostly...poor ScarJo!) and she has just been making everything more fun! I'm definitely excited to have more children of my own...it seems do-able now!

We went to an out-of-town playground, so that was fun & new! Scarlett, Alyssa, and I also played in the nursery, Uncle Tyler built Alyssa a huge tower with Marbleworks, which she loved, and snuggled on the couch, ate popcorn and watched Toy Story 2 on a cold, rainy afternoon. Scarlett thought Alyssa was hilarious, for some reason! And we went to McDonald's! Alyssa's FAVORITE place on Earth! The 3 of us went for a walk this morning before the rain came--Alyssa Lou was more excited than Scarlett! It was quite a mess when Alyssa got her hands on the sunscreen...!

All in all, it was just great having Alyssa with us for so long! I'm looking forward to many more days of Alyssa&Scarlett fun♥ Here are some pictures from our adventures last weekend...

Alyssa is letting Scarlett gnaw on her fingers! Sweet! (& maybe a little germy!) Ha!

...my beautiful baby girl was born! Katie Scarlett is getting so big now and has experienced so much in these 7 short months! She has rolled over, sat up by herself, chattered away and tried all kinds of new foods! Scarlett has also become very fond of her older cousin, Miss Alyssa! I can't wait to see their relationship grow as they grow up together! (and soon they'll have another little cousin to love--Louisa needs to hurry up and get here!)

These have definitely been the most chaotic, stressful, nerve-wracking, amazing, exciting, and happiest 7 months of my life! I am so lucky for my little ScarJo♥

I was about to marry my best friend! In front of our families. On a Friday morning. At city hall. After our vows, we took pictures, had cake, and flew off to Florida! Happy 3 years, Tyler!

And here we are in Florida!!!

p.s.--

Yesterday's blog's sole purpose was to update you all on ScarJo and I totally forgot the most important info...I struggle! She had her 6 month check up on August 13th (even though she'll be SEVEN MONTHS OLD in 5 short days!) and turns out, she's was 50th percentile in height, weight, and head size. This was a relief because at her 4 month check up, her head was in the 25th percentile while the rest of her was 50th, so her head has caught up! Scarlett weighs 16lbs 8 and 3/4 oz, is 26 and 1/4 inches long with a 17" head. That was the highlight of the visit; I love to get those updates, but the yucky part of the visit were her immunizations. Oh, I dread them every time! I know, I know, she must have them and it is SO worth it, but why do the needles have to be so big?! I think it really is more painful for me to watch them and hear her cries. And I kind of hated the nurse this time. It's her job to give babies their shots, but does she have to be so rough? She went through a vein and Scarlett was bleeding all over! Now there's a bruise--that has never happened before! Ugh! At least it's over...until October 20th! But at the 9 month check up, there's only a finger prick...woohoo!!!

Now on to happier things...last week while Alyssa was home, we all went to the most delicious Mexican restaurant for some quesadilla fajitas! Mmmmmm...amazing! Even without the cheesy sauce, the chicken quesadilla fajitas are TO DIE FOR! Mary, get excited for Maine!!!! Anyway, while we were there, Alyssa decided that she wanted to sit with her favorite auntie...don't be jelly;)

ScarJo updates and then some...!

It has been forever since I've written a blog! I keep wanting to, but then I feel very uninspired. Lots of fun stuff has been going on in the 'ville...we have shown the house 2x (third showing is tomorrow!), Scarlett can officially sit up by herself and is sleeping in her bassinet for hours at a time, and I have replaced my blackberry AND camera! It was necessary because both were dead due to excessive amounts of drool...oops! I learned my lesson: no babies can play with the blackberry OR camera, no matter how much they want to!

Showing the house is exciting because Tyler and I have wanted to get out of this "fixer upper" as soon as we realized that we were terrible painters and would rather buy baby clothes than curtains! (this explains the one window treatment in our 4 windowed living room--yikes!) We are looking forward to living somewhere fresh & new! (and with enough room for Louisa&Auntie Mary!)

Scarlett sitting up by herself is a miracle because I haaate putting her down! She's getting to be a bit heavy, but I just love to snuggle her. I put her in her high chair, her crib, or her play mat while I get things done around the house, then I just scoop her right back up when I'm free! On top of that, our floors are questionable, so better safe than sorry! I have been trying to make a conscious effort to put ScarJo down, so her muscles will grow and she will learn to be more independent, but while she's playing, I don't get anything accomplished! I just take tons of pictures!!! Oh well!

On top of sitting up by herself and sleeping in her bassinet (for the most part!), Scarlett also had her first bath outside of her baby tub...she wasn't as excited as I was!

She had so much fun playing with the leftover hangers!!! (from the clothes that are too small, so we're sending them to Louisa--I swear!):

My favorite thing: Alyssa & Scarlett love!

Can't wait to see Little Miss in less than 48 hours!!!
