• Nick and Vanessa Lachey had their baby boy.  Camden John is the name they went with, really??  That's the best they can do?!?!  The way that Vanessa talked about naming her baby, you'd think they would have thought a little bit outside the box!  I have to say, I think Jessica Simpson wins the best baby name award in this battle of the exes!!!
• Speaking of Jessica...did you see her on Katie??  The show was a bore and she really just talked about Weight Watchers, but at least she looked fantastic doing it!  Yay for Weight Watchers!
• I am addicted to Ebay.  For reals, addicted!  I communicate about my purchases with Tyler through our bank account because I thought he checked it diligently.  Turns out, he doesn't, so he was a little confused when all sorts of packages started arriving in the mail!  I can't help it -- HANNA ANDERSSON for almost no dollars!  Score.  Another ebay plus??  They have everything!!!  I lay in bed when I can't sleep (so annoying.) and go shopping.  They have Disney Princess things galore!!!!  Scarlett's making out like a bandit!  It makes it even more fun when she talks about the  "mail mail" bringing her presents because she's such a good girl!
• Scarlett has decided that "Sex" is no longer the kitty's name.  It's now, "Mister."  I'm okay with this...maybe it'll cut back on the weird looks we get from our neighbors as Scarjo calls, "Seeeex!" down the driveway!
• Tyler DVR'ed The 'X' Factor and The Voice instead of Big Brother last night.  We're fighting.
• Yay for Kelly and Michael!!!  I am soooo happy that they didn't go with Nick Lachey.  (Holy NL bashing today, huh?!)  Nick was such an awkward host (IMO) the last time I saw him on during the Olympics.  He started talking about the gymnasts' behinds and how the camera always focuses on them and he cannot help but look.  Um, they're kids!  Like 15 and 16 while Nick is at least double that.  It just made me cringe!
• Lulu's 2nd birthday party was a success -- Mary rocks!!!  She had fun with all of her new gifts and Mary ordered the yummiest cake ever.  YES!

• Alyssa was in the local homecoming parade!  She is seriously awesome and full of fun!

First parade and she's already a pro!

She loved to cheer for Alyssa Lou, but was TERRIFIED of the fire trucks and their sirens!

• It's no wonder some kids have the attitude/behavior that they do after seeing this display at the playground.  After a little barefoot, unsupervised 4-year-old (ish, I'm guessing.) ran up and down the slide a few times while Scarlett was waiting to go down, I told him that, no, he couldn't go up again until he waited his turn.  He looked at me, turned around, and just ran up the slide again.  I looked around the playground again to see who was watching this little boy and no one showed up.  Then another little boy climbed to the top of the slide with Scarlett and was waiting nicely for his turn.  Finally, the naughty little boy's mother showed up, snatched him, and tore off with him dangling over her shoulder, kicking and screaming.  I thought to myself, "Good for her!"  If Scarlett had acted that way, we would have left the playground PRONTO!  Not that any parenting is better or worse, and it's always tricky to decide how to handle situations, especially in public, but IMO, she was doing the right thing.  All peace was restored on the playground...for about five more minutes.  THEN, the little boy's aunt came roaring onto the playground, hollaring to the boy saying, "Who said you can't go up the slide?  You can go up the slide!!!  I'll even go up with you!!!  COME ON!!!!"  OMG.  She was obnoxious.    It was a tunnel slide, so as soon as she tried to go up, she got stuck and she couldn't save herself because of her socks, so obviously, she just took off her shoes and socks and left them on the slide while she continued up, because that's what any sane person would do.  She was shouting and screaming with her nephew all over the playground; it was all so crazy and chaotic.  Then, as they made their way to the other side of the playground, Scarlett continued her route of running up the stairs and down the slide...but when she got to the bottom, she ran into the dirty, inside-out socks that were still there.  We left after that.  It's such a shame that that little boy has such a bad role model.  
• Phew!  Venting feels good!!!
• I realized that I should just be taking pictures of myself in a full-length mirror to document THE BELLY.  Duh!  But then I realized I'd have to clean my mirror first...I'll get to that.  Soon!  Baby 2 will be here in 6 weeks and 1 day!!!  Yikes!  
• It's Friday, so Scarjo has Rhyme Time with Meems and Lulu while I head to my doctor appt.  Yay for her, sads for me...those scales there really bum me out!!!  I don't think the birthday cake will be helping things!  ;)
• And here is a little sneak peek of Scarlett's halloween costume!!!  (I am SUPER prepared because baby 2 is due on the 27th, so I have to have Scarlett ready to trick-or-treat!)

So What! Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what that...

• The most virtuous I've felt for a while was today!  Scarlett and I went to the local ice cream shop and we walked away with just a slushy for her -- yesssss!
• Intervention letters are SO my mom's thing, but the need for clarifying emotions through letters may have been passed on to me; I just sent my first one!  ;)
• I will ABSOLUTELY be paying another thirty bucks just to take a better license picture.
• I'm kind of loving keeping baby 2's name a secret!  I can NOT keep a secret, ever, but this is proving to be fun!!!
• No matter how many times I refer to our cat, Rex, as his nickname, "Frexy," Scarlett continues to call him "Sex."  All. the. time.  It makes the neighbors do a double take!
• I watch Big Brother.  Eek!  I love to watch Big Brother so much that I don't fall asleep when Scarlett goes to bed.  I lose sleep to get my Big Brother fix.  
• I'm feeling so sad about baby 2 coming as soon as she is...I cannot imagine life with more than just Scarlett and me...
• Leaving the house today is out. of. the. question.  I have way too many things to do here!!!
• "'Roni and cheese" is Scarjo's favorite meal.  At least I buy the veggie kind, right?!  
• Scarlett was dreaming about Elmo.  In my defense, she was sick that day and had watched back-to-back Sesame Street.  
• I have had a cup of coffee just about everyday since the 2nd trimester of this pregnancy.  It's a smaller cup than I would ever normally drink and I'm super-aware of the amount of caffeine I'm having, but it still feels wicked scandalous!  
• Speaking of coffee...it's a bit silly, but I'm counting down the days until Starbucks' pumpkin flavor comes out.  (September 4!!!  Woohoo!)

My Six Confessions

(When I typed my title, I began singing this song by Usher),

"These are my confessions

Just when I thought I said all I could say

These are my confessions..."

Now it's stuck in my head, but who doesn't love a little Usher?!  Ok, moving on.

I'm writing out six confessions, so all of my numerous followers can get to know me better!

1. I tried to buy Justin Bieber's new cd in May.  I'm so ashamed because it wasn't even out yet, that's how eager I was!  At least I didn't know the release date, right?!
2. When I see creepy looking people, I freak myself out because I'm worried they might try to stab me or kidnap Scarlett.  I hop in the car and lock the doors or make lots of eye contact with all the employees, so they'll be more likely to remember me if I disappear.  I must watch too much Dateline.
3. I don't think this really counts as an exciting confession, but I count things.  All things.  If I'm walking up or down stairs, I count them.  When I'm laying in bed, I count the walls, mouldings, and curtains.  But the trick is everything has to end in an even number.  If it doesn't, I'll re-count until it does.  Weird, I know.
4. I still feel like a college student.  I mean, I know I'm pushing 30, but when I'm out and about with Scarlett and we see other moms with their kids, I feel like a babysitter.  I have no idea why this happens.
5. My pregnancy is such a blessing and I'm really excited for baby 2, but I am sad that it won't be just Scarjo and me.  Like really sad!  And then I feel guilty.  But there it is...a huge (mom fail) confession.
6. I turn into a FAT Kirstie Alley when I'm pregnant.  It is terrifying.  It's like I'm a completely different whale person; even my nose gets bigger.  Yay for weight watchers!

This decanter is so cool!  When I'm back to drinking wine, I totally need this in my life!  Or maybe it can be a housewarming gift to myself when we eventually get the heck out of this house!  I could think of a million reasons to justify this purchase!  ;)

I am reeeally not looking forward to moving Scarlett into her own big girl room; I will just miss her!  She sleeps in her own bed that is in our bedroom, so the move will have to happen before baby 2 comes.  (I've mentioned this before on my blog, I know!)  To make her move easier for me her, we're going to do a princess themed room, focusing on her bed.  Pinterest has tons of amazing options!

This is my favorite princess-y thing for a little girls' room, but I'm afraid that Scarlett will be more interested in Disney Princesses...namely Princess Belle, so we'll see how fancy her room gets!

OMG!  This is so ridiculously funny!!!  The best one is the first video...Kris Jenner from the 80's!  Though, I have to say, it looks like fun!  I want to have fancy family photo shoots with music videos on the side!!!  I think we'd make a fabulous Go-Go's video or we could cover any 80's Madonna's song!

I saw this and immediately thought, "Kristen Bell would really flip for this!"  Cause we're that close!

And my baby nap free time is O-V-E-R!  This has been the fluffiest post ever, but it's just what I have found on the internet to keep me entertained indoors since the rain has been non-stop since Saturday!!!  I'm really hoping for sunshine soon -- I need some vitamin D and the babies need to get some energy out!

Mum of the Year?

Today, Scarlett and I were practicing letters.  When we got to the letter "T for Tyler," Scarlett replies, "dollah bills, Da!"  

(I may say to Tyler as he leaves for work lots of mornings in front of Scarlett, "go make those dollah, dollah bills, Da!")

It might make me more of a horrible mother that hearing Scarlett say, "dollah bills" makes me laugh hysterically!  


I'm pretty sure I'm not ruining her for life...right?!

1, 2, 3...SEVEN!

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...

• It cracks me up every time Scarlett counts past three...apparently 4, 5, and 6 do not exist.  She counts "1, 2, 3...SEVEN!" whenever there are more than one.  Love it! 
• I've learned something since I've been pregnant.  Lay's chips are way better than Humpty Dumpty.  Like 100x better.  I have never been a chip person (I much prefer ice cream!), so I was unaware that there was a difference!
• Just a few nights ago, I realized that my bedtime routine with Scarlett is going to be impossible to continue once Baby 2 arrives.  I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to realize this, but I'm pretty bummed about it.  I know that we'll work ourselves out a new routine that works with another baby, but I enjoy our time together at night.  Baby 2 also is putting a deadline for Scarjo's time in our bedroom!  But that's a whole other battle...!
• I am loving Justin Bieber's new song.  Embarrassing...but oh so catchy!!!
• I want everyone to come watch Scarjo at her gymnastics class.  It's a bit ridiculous, but she has a reputation (in my family) as being kind of a monsterbaby, but in gymnastics, she is an angelbaby!!!  I need witnesses!
• On top of being well-behaved, Scarjo does rock at gymnastics!  It's so fun to watch her doing something crazy on the bars and then look to make sure I'm watching!!!  Sweet:)
• Okay, now that I've gushed about her good behavior, I can spill my guts from yesterday.  She had a meltdown about every hour.  And not like a little hissy fit, I mean full-on, make your ears bleed screamssss!!!!  I was going INSANE.  I may have told Tyler, "If this was all that parenting was about, I never would have had kids."  Thankfully, today we've turned a page!  
• I think the ladies on The View have replaced my co-workers.  I get to hear their opinions on the latest news stories and pick which ones I agree with.  
• MODG, please start writing posts again!  I don't live in PA, so I can't go to Listen to Your Mother, but I really miss your posts.  Especially baby gear that rocks posts.  Work on that, thanks!
• WHEN IS JESSICA SIMPSON GOING TO HAVE HER BABY???!!!!!  It seems like she's been pregnant forever.

What I do need to start doing more of?  Dress nicely.  Gym clothes have become my everyday norm.  Not good.
