1, 2, 3...SEVEN!

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...
  • It cracks me up every time Scarlett counts past three...apparently 4, 5, and 6 do not exist.  She counts "1, 2, 3...SEVEN!" whenever there are more than one.  Love it!
  • I've learned something since I've been pregnant.  Lay's chips are way better than Humpty Dumpty.  Like 100x better.  I have never been a chip person (I much prefer ice cream!), so I was unaware that there was a difference!
  • Just a few nights ago, I realized that my bedtime routine with Scarlett is going to be impossible to continue once Baby 2 arrives.  I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to realize this, but I'm pretty bummed about it.  I know that we'll work ourselves out a new routine that works with another baby, but I enjoy our time together at night.  Baby 2 also is putting a deadline for Scarjo's time in our bedroom!  But that's a whole other battle...!
  • I am loving Justin Bieber's new song.  Embarrassing...but oh so catchy!!!
  • I want everyone to come watch Scarjo at her gymnastics class.  It's a bit ridiculous, but she has a reputation (in my family) as being kind of a monsterbaby, but in gymnastics, she is an angelbaby!!!  I need witnesses!
  • On top of being well-behaved, Scarjo does rock at gymnastics!  It's so fun to watch her doing something crazy on the bars and then look to make sure I'm watching!!!  Sweet:)
  • Okay, now that I've gushed about her good behavior, I can spill my guts from yesterday.  She had a meltdown about every hour.  And not like a little hissy fit, I mean full-on, make your ears bleed screamssss!!!!  I was going INSANE.  I may have told Tyler, "If this was all that parenting was about, I never would have had kids."  Thankfully, today we've turned a page!
  • I think the ladies on The View have replaced my co-workers.  I get to hear their opinions on the latest news stories and pick which ones I agree with.
  • MODG, please start writing posts again!  I don't live in PA, so I can't go to Listen to Your Mother, but I really miss your posts.  Especially baby gear that rocks posts.  Work on that, thanks!
  • WHEN IS JESSICA SIMPSON GOING TO HAVE HER BABY???!!!!!  It seems like she's been pregnant forever.

I knew she was being too quiet!!!

Here is a picture of Scarlett.  She totally got into Auntie Mary's fancy make up, but at least she got it all in kind of the right places!!!!

Alyssa Lou!

It's been forever since we've had Alyssa for any length of time because she has moved in with my Mom, David, and Camdyn (yay!).  It's been so good for her;  she and Molly have a stable home life.  The point being, I've been missing some QT with Little Miss!  Molly had to go to court (again), so Mary, Louisa, Scarlett, and I had Alyssa all to ourselves for the morning!!!

Scarjo has a fuffice(pacifier)  and purse just because Alyssa has them!

A couple of my favorite Alyssa lines:

"Auntie Meg, that's a stop sign!  That's a stop sign!  Auntie Meg, you didn't stop at the stop sign!!!"  Haha, she appreciates my rolling stops almost as much as Auntie Mary!

(As we're listening to Rhianna and be-bopping around town) "Auntie Meg, do you have to go potty?"  That should tell how smooth my dance moves were!  Ha!

We took the opportunity to bring Alyssa to the bounce house with the girls; Scarjo will do just about anything that Alyssa does...except going up the big ladder to the slide.  It was so fun to watch fearless Alyssa fly down on her belly.  Backwards.

Scarlett's telling Alyssa to go down her slide...

Finally Auntie Mary brought Lulu up to slide with Alyssa!
After the bounce house, we took them to McDonald's (I know, ew, but they have an indoor play place, so off we went...!)  Alyssa made friends with a little girl that was close to her age  while Scarjo waited for them at the bottom of the slide.  Sads.  Lulu was busy entertaining herself in the toddler area.  The most entertaining part for me was watching the girls decorate their faces with Barbie stickers.  They thought it was so cool...

The real reason for our McDonald's visit: best. diet coke. EVER!
After lunch, we headed home for naps!  Molly and Mum came to bring Alyssa home for her nap...what a fun morning!

And now we're on to today...it is Thursday, sooooo I obviously have boatloads of pictures from gymnastics!!!!!!  But before gymnastics, Mary and I dressed the little ladies in their matching dresses.  Cutie-cutes x100!

"Flove!!!"

And now time for gymnastics!  Scarjo was still a super-star on the bars...and I made Mary and Louisa come watch and cheer her on!  She looooved that!

playing peek-a-boo with her friends

doing the spider!

I love how proud she looks carrying around her star...such a big girl!

waiting patiently for her stamp!
Next week, Lulu will be joining Scarjo in gymnastics class...yay!

Oh!  On a side note, Scarjo calls Mr. Rex "sexy" now!  It's hilarious to hear her call out in her little voice, "Sexy!  Seeexxxyyyyyyy!" when she wants to give him "flove."   I maybe even have it on video...!

Future Gymnast. I can just tell.

So Scarlett had her first gymnastics class this afternoon.  We were late, of course, so we rushed in and I just start striping off her outer layers down to her (super cute) leotard and half- pushed her onto the blue mat.  The gymnastics instructor was already stretching with the other five gymnasts, so Scarlett just looked at me and slink-crawls back to me.

Okay, the beginning of the the class may have had a rough start.  Especially when she refused to roll down the triangle thingy and we missed half of the obsticle course, but then things started looking up...

It was time to hit the bars!

After all the other kids had their turns, the instructor reluctantly called out Scarlett's name.  Scarlett was surprisingly enthusiastic.

She quietly walked up to the teacher and lifted her arms...and the rest is history.  She rocked it.  Scarlett could hold herself up!  She did the spider, the peek-a-boo game, AND the hot dog.  All the other moms were commenting on how strong she was.  (I was loooving it)  And Scarlett had fun, too.  ;)

I see her on the USA gymnastics team in the summer olympics 2028.  She's that good!  Or maybe I'm just a proud Mum!  Either way, gymnastics was a success!

Scarlett did look pretty darn cute too:

Super-shy of the big kids taking over the gym after her class!
